About the role


We are looking for our first Technical Writer to join our Product team here to create, manage, and update our product documentation. Working closely with our Product and Engineering teams you’ll be guiding our users on maximising the utilisation of Conduktor and empowering our users to succeed by connecting the technical details to real-world use cases, best practices, and architectural insights. From how-tos to deep dives, you’ll create a seamless experience that links every feature to its value, making the complex simple and actionable. Being comfortable in a deeply technical environment, and looking to set new standards for high-quality documentation, your work will serve as the first point of contact for our potential customers. 


What will you be doing?

  • Managing and maintaining documentation, ensuring it is all up to date and synchronised with our product releases
  • Working closely with our product, engineering and support teams; extracting and translating their knowledge into accessible documentation
  • Supporting our marketing team in their efforts through creating content, and ensuring our messaging is accurate and consistent
  • Developing a clear and logical documentation structure following frameworks like Diátaxis or similar methodologies
  • Creating knowledge bases, user guides, API and developer documentation, release notes, FAQs, process documents, and case studies
  • Writing and tailoring documentation for channel and platform partners 
  • Reviewing content to ensure consistency with Conduktor's brand
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest documentation tools and best practices to continuously enhance the quality and efficiency of our documentation processes

What experience are we looking for?

  • You have 3+ years of experience in technical authoring within the tech industry
  • You’ve worked with SaaS B2B technical enterprise products
  • You’re a proficient user of documentation tools like Docusaurus, and you’re familiar with Diátaxis or similar documentation frameworks 
  • You have a working knowledge of Git/GitHub
  • You have experience authoring content in markup languages such as Markdown 
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
  • You always demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
  • You have an understanding of enterprise technology solutions and a familiarity with partners like Splunk, AWS, Confluent, etc.
