Job Description

At Sportradar we’ve experienced a wonderful period of sustained hypergrowth through a highly focused strategy based upon industry leading data and product innovation. To continue this trajectory, we are searching for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team and help take our Odds services to the next level.

As a technical writer you will plan, create and maintain technical documentation for internal and external audiences. The content is typically in the form of documentation but may also be visual flows, UI text, sample code, videos or other material. You will have a natural desire to help educate your audience, solve and communicate complex topics clearly. You will apply a consistent tone of voice across content mediums and audience types.

You will be working in collaboration with software engineers and product owners daily across the odds product portfolio.

THE CHALLENGE:

  • You will quickly gain a deep level of understanding of our products, evaluate our existing content and develop plans to improve our documentation strategy and the way we reach our audiences.
  • Write and publish user-friendly content, including user guides, API documentation and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Understand our customers, products, services and technologies. Collaborate with product managers, developers and users to gather insights.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage documentation projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing documentation for clarity and usability. Implement feedback to continuously refine content.
  • Edit and clarify draft documents from team members, ensuring coherence and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Promote a consistent tone of voice and coach non-writers on improving their writing skills.
  • Advocate for the developer persona, shaping products and documentation to meet their needs.
  • Work closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and System Administration teams to translate technical information into clear documentation.
  • Use GitLab, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery. Explore new tools to enhance documentation efficiency.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • 2-4 years of professional demonstrable experience of technical writing
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
  • Experience in technical writing, product documentation and content publishing
  • Ability to read and understand programming languages like Java and .Net
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a constantly changing environment
  • Willingness to innovate on documentation tools, like introducing AI workflows
  • Curiosity and awareness of the latest technologies
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to explain ideas and the thinking behind designs
  • Experience using developer tools to create documentation

OUR OFFER:

  • Work with state-of-the-art equipment to solve our technological challenges
  • Collaborate and support colleagues all around the world
  • The opportunity to work and develop within an inspiring and fast-growing company
  • A challenging, but rewarding and fun environment
  • The opportunity to join an exciting team making impacts on our services and our customers’ products
