RootstockLabs is seeking an experienced Technical Writer with background in Web3, blockchain, and decentralized technologies. This role is ideal for a developer-writer passionate about crafting exceptional documentation and educational content for developers building on Rootstock. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to own documentation and treats docs as a product.
You will collaborate closely with developers, technical writers, product managers, product designers, and the GTM team to create and maintain high-quality developer content, ensuring it remains engaging, up to date, and impactful.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Documentation: Work with developers and technical teams to create clear, high-quality documentation for Rootstock products and tools.
- Content Ownership: Maintain and drive developer content (documentation, guides, tutorials, videos) under the Rootstock Developer Portal: https://dev.rootstock.io/.
- Documentation Management: Ensure that documentation follows style guides, best practices, and is always up to date.
- Project Management: Lead and manage documentation-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and goal achievement.
- Developer Engagement: Utilize SEO tools and gamification mechanisms to measure content effectiveness and enhance strategy.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience: 3-5 years as a Technical Writer, focusing on developer documentation.
- Technical Writing Expertise: Ability to create clear, concise, and engaging technical content for a developer audience.
- Web3 Knowledge: Deep understanding of blockchain, smart contracts, and dApps.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with static site generators (e.g., Docusaurus), Git, and CI/CD tools.
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for accuracy and clarity in all documentation.
- Project Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for Learning: A strong desire to stay up-to-date with the latest Web3 advancements.
Nice to have:
- Experience creating and delivering developer training courses/workshops.
- Familiarity with video editing tools (e.g., Descript, Screenflow).
- Contributions to open-source projects.
