What you'll do...
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with a strong technical architecture acumen. You will be part of Engineering Excellence team who drives the software & systems architecture, engineering best practices, & standards across the Associate Digital Experience organization.
About Team: Associate Digital Experience
The Associate Digital Experience (ADE) organization builds and supports associate facing applications and experiences. We seek to remove the friction points as an associate's navigates their work day and build consumer grade experiences. As a member of the Engineering Excellence team, you will guide and support our innovative product teams.
What you'll do:

Provide technical and domain consultation for product teams

Review architecture and engineering designs and offer recommendations
-
Help teams across ADE to onboard & implement engineering & operational excellence KPIs through initiatives like zero touch deployment etc.

Designing and coding applications
What you'll bring:
-
Proven track record of executing on complex, cross-functional, initiatives
-
Ability to influence at all levels, from new hires to executives
-
Experience in developing REST APIs, event & message driven applications using Kafka or other messaging queues

Experience in SQL or NoSQL databases, schema design, & database indexing
-
Good understanding of system components including auth & auth, API gateways, load balancer, high availability, & microservices architecture etc.

DevOps experience with public cloud like Azure & CI/CD experience using tools like Jenkins
Additional preferred qualification -

Knowledge of digital accessibility including accessibility principles, developers coding best practices for digital accessibility

Knowledge in AI/ML & Generative AI

Experience in search platforms like OpenSearch or Elasticsearch etc.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
