In this role, you will:
- Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
- Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
- Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
- Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
- Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
- Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
- Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
- Have or develop a deep, technical understanding of regulations to interpret them accurately and identify their implications for business processes, systems & data. You must have the aptitude & expertise to drill into specifics, mapping rules to process & workflow and ensuring compliance standards are met
- Be able to elicit & document detailed requirements from regulatory text then validate those requirements with stakeholders such as Compliance, Legal, Operations & IT. This requires strong facilitation skills to extract actionable insights from regulations & reconcile conflicting needs
- Analyse business practices & organisational structures to define the applicability of regulatory changes to the investment firm and provide a clear sense of where and what needs to change because of new or amended regulations. Additionally, you must have a strong working relationship with Technical Analysts that are responsible for solution design to ensure effective handover between stages of the change lifecycle to maintain the integrity of change methods
- Responsible for documenting current & future state processes. This ensures traceability from regulatory rules to business & organisational changes that are critical for audit & compliance verification.
- Support change management by ensuring deliverables (Processes, procedures & technology) are usable & verifiable. Includes ensuring functional accuracy versus requirements & assisting with user training.
Required Qualifications:
- Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Extensive experience of working on large front to back regulatory transformation programs, demonstrating an understanding of the full project life cycle impact across the different functions .
- Good understanding of the Regulatory consultation process and the impact on the project
- Proven experience with interpreting and documenting regulatory changes, including performing gap analysis, data interpretation
- Business requirements documentation, determining available solutions and their pros/cons, proposing efficient and effective action to take to working groups.
- Proven technical ability to perform data analysis, and create effective presentation of findings for stakeholder engagement
- Experience of ensuring core deliverables are produced on time, and to spec by monitoring development progress, providing guidance and technical oversight Post implementation reviews show minimal unforeseen issues and that contingency plans are executed successfully when needed.
- Experience in running workshops with senior stakeholders across different departments to gather feedback, agree decisions and assign ownership
- Experience with writing future state documentation for BAU handover (Controls, Policy, Process, Handbooks etc...)
- Proven technical ability to perform data analysis, and create effective presentation of findings for stakeholder engagement
