As the VP of Operations Quality UK&I Defence, you will be providing expertise and functional leadership for the quality team members within MA&T. In this role you will be responsible for providing support to the quality function ensuring the quality technical skills are governed and cultivated. You will also be the accountable signature for the quality function as required for technical documents. The primary sites functionally supported in this role are Bristol and Saudi Arabia. This role is also the first point of contact for procurement into MAT UK&I for escalations or strategic decisions.
What you will be doing:
- Providing leadership, coaching and support to quality engineers, inspectors and other MAT team members when it comes to functional quality items.
- Maintain, update and create processes and support training as required for ARIS processes to which you are the SME
- Oversight of the TAD & LRAD process
- Governance of product risk releases
- Primary interface to the supply chain quality teams
Position qualifications:
Must be able to obtain CAA part 21 Form 4
Knowledge of Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement (Six Sigma, Lean or 8D)
Competent on all relevant International standards such as AS9100/Part 21/Part 145
Broad knowledge of RR product through the life-cycle
Governance Management
Preferred:
- Green or Black Belt
- Previous leadership role in manufacturing or procurement
- Print Reading / GDT proficiency
- APQP/PPAP working level knowledge
