About Firecrawl

Firecrawl is the easiest way to extract data from the web. Developers use us to reliably convert URLs into LLM-ready markdown or structured data with a single API call. In just a year, we've hit millions in ARR and 68k+ GitHub stars by building the fastest way for developers to get LLM-ready data.

Previously, we built Mendable, one of the first commercially available “chat with your data” tools. To support customers like MongoDB, Coinbase, Snapchat, and more, we built reliable infrastructure for getting clean web data. When we noticed our friends building the same internal tooling, Firecrawl was born.

We’re a small, fast-moving, technical team building essential infrastructure for the AI era. We value autonomy, clarity, and shipping fast.

Why Firecrawl
  • Technical ownership – Lead critical browser technology and infrastructure

  • Real impact – Directly shape how our browser stack drives our entire product

  • High velocity – Rapid iteration and deployment of your work

  • Small team, big ambition – Collaborate closely with founders, influencing key decisions and future directions

About the Role

In just a year, we’ve hit millions in ARR and 50k+ GitHub stars by building the fastest way for developers to get LLM-ready data. We’re a small, fast-moving team building essential tools for the AI era. We value autonomy, clarity, and shipping fast.

You’ll work closely with the founders to implement and experiment with new techniques on the cutting edge of browser automation. You will experiment with applying SOTA and open**-**source models to generalize web extraction at scale, along with building better libraries and tools to help AI interact with the web

What You’ll Do
  • Bring a minimum of 3 years of experience in development

  • Show proficiency with advanced web automation, including topics such as

    • Web scraping with web driver frameworks

  • Bring your experience with LLM agents

Who You Are
  • Curious: You experiment and have the execution skills to iterate and learn rapidly.

  • Resourceful Problem-Solver: You take initiative and find solutions independently.

  • Startup Passion: You thrive in small teams without the structure of a more mature organization. You love a scrappy, do-what-works, no-BS environment with tremendous growth potential.

  • Ambitious and Hungry: Eager to learn, grow, and contribute something meaningful.

  • Clear communicator: A talent for sharing information clearly and concisely with others

Bonus Points
  • Have a deep understanding of headless browsers and web scraping.

  • Are fascinated by AI and demonstrate this through experience with AI side projects.

  • Are you looking for a challenge to pour your passion into

  • Experience with advanced web automation topics, such as:

    • Rotating Proxies

    • Bot Fingerprinting

What it Means to Join Firecrawl

  • Autonomy — Own your domain; we care about outcomes, not hours.

  • Remote-First Culture — Work at our new SF office, while collaborating with our remote team.

  • Growth Opportunity — Early equity and a role that scales with the company.

  • Creative Freedom — Experiment with new channels, formats, and automations. If it works, we run with it.
