About You

Reporting to the Director of Design & User Experience, you'll be joining a team guided by a seasoned leader renowned for pioneering innovation and fostering a culture of excellence. This is more than just a reporting relationship; it's an opportunity for mentorship and growth. Together, you will strategize, design and build custom websites for our customers, ensuring that they not only meet but exceed user expectations. By working closely with the Director, you'll be in the prime position to make significant contributions, influence decision-making, and shape the future direction of our design initiatives.

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Website Designer to join our team to help create visually appealing and user-friendly websites for small, independent retailers in the flooring and home improvement space. Working on transforming older websites into stunning masterpieces that will bring our customers' brands to the next level. We need someone with a great design vision, clever thinking able to modernize the UI and UX of modules and that understands how to work with templating engines (Wordpress and/or Webflow) and their CMS.

Design: Figma (design and prototyping), Adobe Creative Suite, Maze (user testing)
Engineering:
WordPress, Webflow, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop and maintain websites for our customers using WordPress and/or Webflow, ensuring they are responsive, accessible and user-friendly.
  • Create cutting edge experiences: Collaborate with our dealer team and independent retailers to create intuitive interfaces and optimal design experiences.
  • Systematize Creativity: Apply a methodical approach to design, cleverly reusing existing concepts while considering the engineering implications.
  • Iterate & Innovate: Embrace feedback from stakeholders to continuously refine and reimagine your designs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, WordPress and Webflow updates to keep our projects innovative and functional
  • Testing & Debugging: Perform thorough testing of all websites, identifying and resolving any issues before launch.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A portfolio that speaks volumes: Must showcase previous work that captures your design prowess.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing websites using WordPress.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first principles
  • Experience with WordPress themes and plugins, including custom development and troubleshooting.
  • Speed & precision: A nimble, iterative approach to product design without sacrificing quality.
  • An eye for the details: Exceptional attention to minutiae, paired with a relentless focus on quality.
