About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support our finance team in managing financial operations, reporting, and compliance. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to gain hands-on experience in financial management and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, and reviewing all items for accuracy.

Support the Financial Controller in maintaining general ledger accuracy across multiple entities within the same group.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

Support and overview accounts payable and receivable.

Support audit processes and tax compliance in various jurisdictions.
-
Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and process improvements.
-
Manage and support the accountant's team, acting as the primary point of contact for their questions and concerns, serving as a liaison between them and the Financial Controller.

Assist the Financial Controller with any ad hoc projects and special assignments.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1-3 years of experience in managerial accounting or assistant controller role.

ACA or ACCA qualified.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
-
Experience with Sage Intacct.
Location
Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.
