We are looking for a strategic multidisciplinary Brand Designer – (Digital & Graphic) who is passionate about brand, obsessive about creating engaging experiences for our customer, and integral to driving the long-term growth of Sweaty Betty globally. With a finger on the pulse of brand design and communication, you are a driven individual who is always striving to create impactful, market leading design directives for our communication channels across our core markets UK & IRE, US and ROW. Brimming with ideas, you will have the ability to take omni-channel seasonal briefs and realise their full potential, as well as act as a brand guardian when working with external partners. You will be comfortable operating within brand guidelines, knowing how to use these to maximum effect to convey our brand personality and points of difference to drive engagement. Reporting to the Global Creative Lead you will work closely to develop the Sweaty Betty visual identity each season or through key brand moments or campaigns, across all touchpoints for our new and existing consumers, driving heat and relevancy globally.

The Role You Will Play

  • Act as a brand guardian for Sweaty Betty, presenting a deep knowledge of our brand guidelines, expression and narrative and work with external partners and internal teams with the aim of deploying this into best-in-class creative
  • Work closely with the Global Creative Lead to implement visual execution to the highest standards, striving for exceptional design
  • Follow the direction of the Global Creative Lead and Global Brand Director to visually translate seasonal campaigns across markets and channels
  • Improve and develop consistency throughout existing brand touchpoints, guidelines or experiences to create a cohesive customer experience, increase engagement and achieve brand KPIs
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail and understanding of the relationship between brand strategy and design
  • Create clear look and feel direction documents to partner with and brief external agencies to deliver and execute against
  • Conceptualise and offer on-brand design solutions with innovation across formats, platforms and environments, and key strategic initiatives.
  • Brand build within the company across full price proposition and peak and promo
  • Undertake competitor research, staying informed of current trends across retail, brand and digital and sharing updates with the creative and studio team
  • Collaborate with the retail team to help deliver designs for instore POS and window displays
  • Work with internal teams such as PR and Influencer Marketing to support on delivering marketing assets for both physical and digital events
  • Create market leading, mobile-first designs for Sweaty Betty email and online communications, working closely with the CRM and e-comm teams to deliver content and create templates
  • You will have a ‘test and learn’ attitude and enjoy designing creative tests, seeing the results, and taking insights from the reports

What you'll bring

  • 4 years experience in a digital design role
  • A portfolio that demonstrates high creative standards in typography and design layout, strategic thinking, and a strategic design approach across platforms and mediums
  • A creative problem solver, who is commercially aware with a creative eye
  • Fluent skills in the core Adobe Creative Suite programs and Figma. Any experience in motion software would be a bonus.
  • A high level of both graphic and digital design execution.
  • A self-starter and energetic mindset, showing the ability to take initiative, be proactive and make connections within the company and externally
  • The ability to work with and build on established brand guidelines. The individual should be able to infuse their own creative ideas with our brand pillars and produce designs that are on brand, yet still fresh and conceptual
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities, whilst maintaining a cool head and commitment to deadlines in a reactive and fast paced environment
  • An enthusiastic and collaborative approach to work
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience and openness to working with external agencies and partners to create best in class creatives
  • Experience of brand guardianship, being able to influence external creatives to ensure brand consistency
  • An aptitude for global thinking with an open mind, big ideas, and the curiosity to pursue them
  • Experience with a retail/fashion brand would be beneficial
  • The ability to work as part of a cross functional taskforce influencing at all levels to be able to protect brand visual identity and integrity
