About Us

At Blank Street, we believe that rituals matter, and that great rituals make your life better. With coffee shops across the US and UK, we are working to transform the high street grab-and-go coffee transaction into an experience that is higher in quality, hospitality, and joy.

What’s Brewing…

We’re looking for an in-house Brand Designer to help transform Blank Street into a world-class brand. Reporting to our Senior Brand Design Manager, you’ll take our visual aesthetic to the next level across all channels: retail, print collateral, marketing campaigns + activations, social, merch and more!

You will be working on a wide range of projects at every level of the process, from creative ideation to design and execution. Projects will be both assigned and self-directed. The ideal candidate has best-in-class digital and print design skills, thinks strategically about their work, keeps up to date with contemporary branding and visual trends, and has impeccable taste.

Our Values

  • Magic is in the Details: We value attention to detail in everything we do. We're always thinking about the small things that make a moment meaningful.
  • Move as One: We value people who strive to be the best team player, not individual stars.
  • “My Home is your Home” Hospitality: We look for individuals who treat others the same way they'd treat a guest in their home. We care about presentation, hospitality, and having fun even when things are stressful.

What You'll Own:

  • Work in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment, and present high quality design executions.
  • Balance multiple fast-turn, high-priority projects at once with an ability to predict and stick to estimated completion timeline.
  • Strategize and ideate out-of-the-box design solutions, while simultaneously completing more straightforward and prescribed design tasks.
  • Develop physical assets (e.g. store signage, window & floor decals, cart elements, A-frames, voucher cards)
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute a range of assets required for in-person activations.
  • Develop marketing assets (e.g. social posts & stories, retail and activation collateral, email campaigns)
  • Develop supplemental assets (e.g. branded merchandise, bag designs, event posters, brand videos)
  • Work with our tech team to ensure our brand identity is thoughtfully translated into web and app, and our user experience is as seamless as possible.
  • Develop and own the proofing and quality control process of all internally produced content, ensuring the final deliverable is free of any grammatical mistakes, design snafus, off-brand messaging.
  • Work within complex design systems (e.g. menu boards, marketing emails, retail labels, PDPs), implement recurring updates, and strategize ways to improve processes
  • Demonstrate proactive organizational, time management, and prioritization skills when faced with ambiguous challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Visually stunning and thoughtfully organized design portfolio
  • Experience owning multi-channel & cohesive brand campaigns (print & digital)
  • Experience working in spatial / environmental design systems
  • Stellar communication skills, able to deliver real-time updates when sharing project ideas and roadblocks
  • Ability to storytell and present concepts and designs to senior leadership
  • Ability to articulate ideas and contribute insights in early concepting sessions
  • Strong presentation skills, able to share work in an engaging and effective manner
  • Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, motion skills a huge plus
  • Comfortable with passionate working environments, multiple concurrent projects, and tight turn-around times

What We Offer:

  • Exclusive access to our coveted Regulars program – yes, that means free matcha and more! ☕✨
  • Private health and dental insurance
  • Flexible working hours
  • 25 Days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)
  • A great culture with regular team events

Application Deadline: December 31, 2024
