About The Role
As a HR Assistant in this 3-month fixed-term position, you will serve as the first point of contact for Springer Nature UK employees. You will provide support throughout the employee life cycle, handling HR queries related to payroll, references, and policies. In addition, you will take ownership of transactional administration, maintain accurate employee records in the HR system, resolve enquiries, and ensure the integrity of HR data.
Role Responsibilities
- Process administration of employee life-cycle events (onboarding – departure)
- Maintain accurate data in all systems including the Human Resources Information System
- Delivering new starter inductions and ensuring all documentation is obtained for processing
- Support a variety of projects in conjunction with the Service Delivery team and HR Managers to support business needs
- Support the HR International team through report production and data analysis
- Enquiry resolution and escalation as appropriate
Experience, Skills, and Qualification:
Essential
Previous administration and organisational experience
Accuracy and attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications
Able to effectively gather and interpret information
Able to prioritise and plan work activities effectively
Good written and verbal communication
Ability to manage sensitive information appropriately and confidentially
Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables with minimum supervision
Able to collaborate with the team and wider business
Able to adapt to change
Effective time management skills
Desirable
Exercise critical thinking skills in production and analysis of HR reporting
Demonstrable sound judgement and understanding of proper escalation of queries
A-Level or equivalent standard of qualification/ demonstrable experience
Demonstrated interest in Human Resources either through study or previous work
