Job Description:

Your new role

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team, primarily aligned to the manufacturing part of our business. Your new role will see you take on a strategic position within the business, working closely with the leadership teams across our Manufacturing operations as well as the Global manufacturing leadership team.

The role holder will be primarily responsible for driving business success through people, culture and leadership.  You will work in collaboration with leadership teams, global HR teams and Centres of Excellence to design and drive delivery of meaningful HR strategies across the business.

We’re looking for someone who can effectively demonstrate their ability to influence, coach and engage senior leaders ensuring clear levels of accountability across all business functions. You will also be an advocate of leadership behaviours, driving positive change and inspiring others.

This is a remote role, with some travel required. Our Manufacturing sites are based in Newton Aycliffe and Arlington, and travel to some of our other sites may be necessary from time to time.

About you

Key skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent IT skills – typically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and MS Teams
  • Effective facilitation, influencing, conflict-resolution and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain effective relationships
  • Effective Business Partnering within Manufacturing sites under local and International Leadership

Proven experience of:-

  • Business partnering at a senior level, setting an ethical and professional example
  • Developing and executing people strategies that align with overall business objectives
  • Developing and embedding HR practices, employment law
  • Delivering successful HR strategies in complex, matrix business structures
  • Supporting the development of pragmatic business solutions across the people agenda
  • HR Leadership in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Effective stakeholder management and team collaboration at all levels of an organisation
  • Industrial relations, specifically managing multiple trade union relationships, managing workplace conflict and collective bargaining

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification or demonstrable experience
