Business Development Manager/Technical Sales – Packaging

About the Role

We’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager / Technical Sales professional to join our growing team, supporting and developing key customers across the packaging manufacturing sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with industry experience who thrives on building relationships, solving problems, and delivering value-added chemical solutions.

You’ll take ownership of an established regional portfolio, working closely with production teams and technical contacts to provide expert guidance, develop new opportunities, and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop relationships with key packaging manufacturers across your region
  • Identify new business opportunities and support customers with tailored chemical solutions
  • Provide technical advice, troubleshooting support, and process improvement recommendations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure outstanding customer service and delivery performance
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account plans
About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with commercial drive. You may already be working in a technical sales or business development role within the chemical, packaging, or wider manufacturing sector. Alternatively, you could be working in a production, process, or technical role and looking to move into a more customer-facing, commercial position.

  • Proven experience in a technical sales, account management, process support, or customer-facing role within the packaging, paper, chemical, or manufacturing sectors
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and chemical applications
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own territory and workload
Desirable
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Technology, or a related field
  • Experience supporting customers within the packaging industry
