ROLE OVERVIEW
The role is fundamental to produce month end reporting of financial performance and position of group entities. The incumbent will review financial information, produce journals and financial analysis, improve financial controls and financial reporting. The role will require adherence to monthly and annual deadlines.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The group has trading entities trading in UK, USA, Germany, Netherlands, Singapore and Malaysia. Some duties are entity specific and some are group wide.
- Preparation of management accounts, to include
o Revenue and cost of sales accounting
o Sales and gross margin analysis
o Staff and operating cost accounting and reconciliations
o Adherence to group profit centre and chart of accounts rules
o Ownership of entity level and profit centre level reporting, KPI and variance analysis
- Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations, minimizing reconciling items and commentary on variances month on month.
- Preparation of inter-company loan account analysis, adjustments and reconciliations (group)
- Reconciliations between pay and bill system and general ledger and investigation of discrepancies
- Systems administrator for Dimensions (1 of 2)
- Assist with balance sheet reviews
- Assist with month end recharges (management fees, front office, back office)
- Assist with ad hoc projects to improve month end procedures and controls
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with colleagues both within Finance department and stakeholders across the wider group to ensure sharing of ideas, best practise and resources.
- Attend calls and meetings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
Accounting degree (or similar)
EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience of working in a similar accounting role in multi-currency and group setting – 2 years minimum.
- 5 years minimum in industry role
- Revenue accounting under UK GAAP or IFRS
- High volume transaction reconciliations
- Experience using Access dimensions
- German or Singapore GAAP
KNOWLEDGE
- Advanced management accounting – explain performance/variances
- Group accounting, e.g multi-currency loan reconciliations
- Experience preparing and reviewing control account reconciliations and balance sheets.
