The role will play a crucial role in the organisation, responsible for supporting the pricing negotiations team in the development and execution of the pricing modelling and scenario building process in relation to Bids/RFPs. It will serve as a key link between Pricing, Sales, Legal, and Billing/Finance to ensure that all stakeholders involved in the negotiation, development and execution of pricing strategies, tactics and pricing/terms changes are done in a harmonized way. Responsibilities:
- Support the Pricing Negotiations Manager in developing and implementing pricing modelling and profitability models that support business negotiations, are competitive in the market, and adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs
- Support pricing negotiations for key bids, RFPs, RFQs and use knowledge of company systems to ensure the deal is structured in a way that is viable to implement and maintain
- Support the pricing team in creating and maintaining pricing scenarios and proposals to ensure profitability analysis can be completed and review effectiveness of pricing and develop recommendations for pricing changes
- Maintain a knowledge base of the commercial and market landscape with respect to pricing approaches and intelligence
- Assume responsibility for the specific pricing negotiations process related to pricing deals and opportunities
- Work closely with the Pricing Negotiations Manager to optimize the costing data related to creating and managing the margins on the different aspects within a deal.
Work Experience:
- Experience with business intelligence tools, capabilities, and best practices desirable
- Knowledge of atleast intermediate and ideally advanced SQL, Excel and PBI essential,
- Familiarity with Python is preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional problem solving teams
- Planning, analytical and conceptual skills to evaluate the financial aspects of a business deals and identify and apply appropriate solutions
- Ability to work independently and understand and carry out detailed instruction and the ability to work concurrently on several deals, each with specific instructions that may differ from deal to deal
