Job Description
Job title: Team Leader
Location: Kraft-Heinz Kitt Green, Wigan

We are Kraft-Heinz Kitt Green - Home of our world-famous Heinz Baked Beans, "Nourishing the nation" and in production since 1959! You will be joining one of the world's best loved Food & Beverage brands, as well as one of the most iconic FMCG factories in Europe.
Purpose
Our Team Leaders own the delivery of our production plan and OEE performance, while also improving standards and policies. As a successful Team Leader, you will lead your team with passion and determination while always adhering to the highest of standards and production guidelines.

  • Facilitate problem-solving sessions with operators and engineers to understand and root cause problems.
  • Ensure compliance with KHMS principles (CIL, defect tagging, etc.).
  • Effectively engage with the team on an hour-by-hour basis.
  • Focus efforts on relevant work that adds overall value to production and output.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and deliver quality products while adhering to agreed production plans.
  • Lead the development of your team through regular performance reviews.
  • Raise repeat problems that cannot be resolved in a timely manner.
  • Use appropriate problem-solving tools to address reoccurring issues.
  • Proactively improve safety and GMP standards within the area of responsibility.
  • Carry out all necessary company communications and ensure sign-off and compliance.


What You'll Have

  • Demonstrated ability of leading a team in a fast moving manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience of delivering sustainable improvement plans.
  • Strong leadership competencies required with the ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to lead others and identify specific business improvement opportunities.
  • Be able to communicate effectively at all levels and ensure communications are clear and understood.
  • Engage and motivate teams and our union partners while delivering through change programs.
  • An Engineering background would be advantageous but not essential.
