Position Summary

Samsung B2B team is looking for a Technical Program Manager to manage building reliable distributed platforms that allow our stakeholders to provide mobile and PC security solution to users. In this role, you will be key for collaboration among different functional teams. You will get to expand your knowledge in building highly scalable solutions while influencing others and raising the bar within the team.
A Technical Program Manager is accountable for managing program, coordinating resources, and developing processes to deliver software releases of products and services on time, while participating in defining the strategy for the product development team by driving initiatives that deliver on the vision.

Role and Responsibilities

About the Role

  • Work together with the global TPM team to manage large scale program that requires strong program management, risk management, and problem-solving skills
  • Understand the system’s functional and non‐functional requirements, plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines
  • Identify problems and improvement opportunities in engineering practices, processes, and project organization, manage the change impact and communicate to stakeholders to get buy in of changes and enforce accepted changes
  • Use data and requirements to help improve vision and suggest service improvements
  • Manage issues, risks and escalations, and own the work to solve problems and remove blockers
  • Provide visibility and transparency to project status, issues, schedule and manage project deliverables
  • Adopt Scrum methodology and Agile practices and conduct scrum meetings when necessary

Skills and Qualifications

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or Technical Program Manager for software or system projects, preferably in complex multi-site working environment
  • Previous software engineering experience with solid understanding of the full SDLC preferred
  • Experience in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of AWS services EC2, S3, RDS, Mongo etc. would be an asset
  • A record of successful delivery of software applications
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Well organized, good communication and reporting skills
  • Experience of working with remote teams to delivery software product together
  • Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $94900 to $122,800 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.

The total rewards package for a Regular Full-Time employee may include variable incentive, savings matching (RRSP/TFSA/NRSP), extended health and dental benefits with spending accounts, wellness and well-being benefits, development opportunities, and other employee perks.
