It’s one thing to deliver a technical project. It’s quite another to delight a customer while doing it.
About Us

Ascent has recently been acquired by Acuity Analytics.  This is both a significant milestone for us and a tremendous opportunity for you.  Acuity Analytics is a business with a strong global reputation, an impressive client base and ambitious growth plans.  We delivers deep insights and domain-led digital transformation to high-growth and heavily regulated organisations.  To our customers, we bring a partnership that provides the talent, technology and capability to enhance performance and operational efficiency.

About the Role

We're looking for a versatile Technical Product Manager who blends product thinking with business consulting, service design and technical fluency. You’ll lead discovery through hands-on workshops, shape delivery plans, and stay close to the tech, especially in AI-enabled, data-rich environments, while keeping sight of product outcomes, ROI, commercial models and how value is measured.

While you won’t need to code, you should be comfortable in technical discussions around data models, APIs, AI integration, and cloud architecture (especially Azure). You’ll help craft high-level solution designs, write clear technical user stories, and work closely with engineers, data scientists, and designers to bring products to life.

This role also plays a key part in pre-sales and early-stage planning, facilitating scoping sessions, engaging senior stakeholders and turning complex opportunities into actionable roadmaps.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, facilitate, and document discovery workshops (design thinking, service blueprinting, prioritisation, technical deep dives) to uncover user needs and align stakeholders.
  • Own the discovery and definition of digital products and services in partnership with clients.
  • Lead or support pre-sales, running workshop-led scoping sessions, shaping proposals and presenting solutions to senior stakeholders.
  • Develop Product Vision & Strategy including Product Roadmap and maintain ongoing evolution for product lifecycle
  • Translate business and user insights into clear product requirements, user stories, and technical specs (especially for data- or API-heavy products).
  • Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and designers to deliver high-impact solutions, aligning feasibility with user value.
  • Support GenAI- or AI-driven product development, including helping shape early MVPs or PoCs.
  • Use service design methods to map experiences, identify opportunity areas, and align teams and stakeholders around user needs and business priorities.
  • Define and manage the product backlog; lead sprint planning and iteration cycles to ensure continuous delivery of value.
  • Act as the product lead on client projects, supporting delivery end-to-end within a multidisciplinary team.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Proven experience leading and facilitating discovery or co-creation workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience applying design thinking, service design, and other human-centred approaches to shape and deliver digital products and services end-to-end.
  • Solid background owning the end-to-end product lifecycle in a digital, data, or AI-enabled environment.
  • Comfortable in technical conversations, able to shape high-level product requirements for APIs, integrations, or data pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage both technical teams and C-level audiences.
  • Consulting mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, fast context-switching and adapting to different client needs.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams (engineering, UX, data) using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Strong Pluses

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline (helpful, not required).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services or Power BI.
  • Exposure to AI / machine-learning / GenAI product development.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
